The Israeli College for Security and Investigations (I.C.S.I.) was established with the purpose of providing professional comprehensive training for security personnel. This includes security officers employed in governmental institutions, private firms and non-profit organizations, investigators in the public and private sectors and others who deal with security related tasks on a regular basis.
I.C.S.I. provides professional courses at all levels in the fields of security, investigations, intelligence and protection for individuals and organizations, who wish to acquire updated skills and knowledge and improve their function with regards to security issues.
The college commenced its activity in 1986, a time when it was clear that there is a clear need to provide suitable training for those employed in security professions in the public and private sectors within the State of Israel. Today, our graduates hold key positions in the fields of security and investigations not only within Israel, but also throughout the world.
The college offers 10 major programs of study:
Physical Security Program - Provides training for security officers and for senior security administrators.
Investigations and Intelligence Program - Provides training and skills needed for private investigators. This program of study includes training in the fields of data collection and Intelligence assessment, surveillance, forensics, tracking and more.
Protection Officers (BodyGuards) Program - Provides training in close protection situations, defensive and operational driving, fire range administrators, self defense, armed fighting, CPR, extraction from threatening situations and the prevention of terrorist activities.
Information Protection Program - Focused in areas of computer based data bases and their protection, security measures in protecting data and preventing industrial espionage, and is adapted for training security personnel in the area of data protection.
Polygraph Examiners Program - Specialized coursework focused in polygraph training, including all recognized questionnaire protocols and the different types of polygraph hardware. Graduates of this study program can choose to work as Polygraph examiners in both private and public/governmental sector.
Police Science and Criminology Program - Advanced course for Police commanders and officers. This program is designed for both field and staff police officers, and involves studying for an academic degree in the fields of logistics, strategy, intelligence, law enforcement and more.
Military and National Security Studies Program - Within the framework of this program, designed for both junior and senior military officers, the emphasis is on command and leadership training. The program includes courses in the fields of Intelligence, national security and other related issues.
Program in the Administration of Investigative and Security Organizations – This program of study is at the Associate Degree level. It is designed to train the student to become an integral part of security organizations with an emphasis on information technology, administration, and supervision.
Maritime and Airport Security Program - This program of study is designed for students in the field of civilian airport security. Course work ranges from terminal selectors and observers to training of air marshals. The course of study in maritime security is in accordance with directives of the IMO and the ISPS CODE.
Continuing Academic Education Program - This program of study is focused in advanced Police studies, Forensic Sciences, Criminology, Criminal Justice, Criminal Law and the Behavioral Sciences.
In addition to these 10 core study programs, I.C.S.I. offers tailor-made training in the fields of VIP protection, security guards, armed readiness teams, loss prevention personnel, investigative professionals, private investigations and Intelligence, police detectives and more. These courses are designed and coordinated beforehand according to the client needs, and are given by I.C.S.I. instructors and tutors either to small groups or to individuals in a "one-on-one" format .
All study programs in the College are based on frontal academic lectures combined with simulations and workshops. In addition to the lectures in the classrooms, students hold the option of using the College's professional library which offers diveresed literature and academic research papers written by studetns and graduates.
The academic staff of I.C.S.I. includes over 250 professionals who come from all security deisciplines. All lecturers are graduates of the Israeli security services, holding profound operational experience in Counter-Terrorism, Law Enforcement and Intelligence.
The College enjoyes the recognition of the Israeli Ministry of Education, Ministry of Justice, Israeli Police Forces, and the Ministry of Industry and Commerce as an accredited educational institution. The various programs of study listed above, have been all scrutinized by the aforementioned ministries and approved according to Israeli official educational standards in the field of security.
The College has also earned international recognition from The International Bodyguard and Security Services Association (I.B.S.S.A.) as an accredited institution for security studies. Graduates are entitled for an International Diploma on behalf of I.B.S.S.A. in addition to the Israeli diploma granted by the College.
